Participants will be able to:
  • define dyslexia, and understand the basic differences between the dyslexic and non-dyslexic brains.
  • identify key characteristics of Dyslexia in students.
  • identify the MIND (Material Reasoning, Interconnected Reasoning, Narrative Reasoning, Dynamic Reasoning) strengths, and develop strategies to help them foster these strengths in the classroom to support learning.
  • provide appropriate accommodations for students with Dyslexia
  • locate important resources related to Dyslexia.
